Formerly of Whitestrand Park, Lower Abbeygate Street, and Cooke’s Wine Bar, Upper Abbeygate Street, Galway.
Mary passed away peacefully on Saturday, 8th March 2025. Predeceased by her parents, Sabina and Coleman, her brothers Seán and Richard, and her sisters Kathleen and Peggy. Beloved sister of Helen, Coleman Cooke, and Kathleen Bailey. Deeply loved and sadly mourned by her brother, sisters, nieces, nephews, and extended family in Galway, England, and America. Mary will be fondly remembered by her many friends and colleagues from the University of Galway (formerly UCG) and Cooke’s Wine Bar, Upper Abbeygate Street.

Reposing in Conneely’s Funeral Home, Flood Street (H91 A786) on Wednesday, 12th March, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., with removal afterwards to St. Augustine’s Church, Middle Street (H91 W6H3). Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, 13th March, at 11:00 a.m. Following Mass, Mary will be laid to rest in Forthill Cemetery.
